Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, and after completing all entry formalities, your guide will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, home to the largest remaining tract of Montane forest in Africa. This park is a biodiversity hotspot, boasting 86 species of mammals, 280 bird species, and around 100 types of orchids. On your way to the park, you’ll visit the Nyanza King’s Palace, a cultural and historical gem.
After an early breakfast, you’ll head into Nyungwe Forest for a thrilling canopy walk. This elevated trail offers incredible views of the forest and an opportunity to spot numerous bird species, including the striking Rwenzori Turaco and the *black-and-white casqued hornbill, as well as large groups of colobus monkeys.
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to Ruhengeri for the highlight of your trip: a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. After spending time with these magnificent creatures, you can enjoy an optional afternoon stroll through Ruhengeri town and visit the local market.
On your final day, you will drive back to Kigali for a tour of the city, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Museum. After the tour, you’ll be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight home, concluding your Rwandan adventure.
