Depending on your arrival time, you may opt for a city tour, visit the Botanical Gardens for birdwatching and nature walks, or explore the local markets and craft shops.
After breakfast, you’ll set out for Kibale National Park, enjoying the scenic views of Uganda’s lush landscape and passing through picturesque tea plantations along the way. A stop for lunch in Fort Portal will give you a chance to relax before continuing the drive, arriving at your accommodation in the late afternoon.
After breakfast, embark on an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure with a ranger in Kibale National Park. This tropical forest is home to 13 species of primates, including the iconic chimpanzees. After lunch, you’ll continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a game drive en route to your lodge, offering the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife.
Start your day early with a thrilling morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you can encounter elephants, lions, buffaloes, and a variety of antelopes. In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a relaxing boat cruise, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species, including the African fish eagle, while taking in the park’s stunning scenery.
In the morning, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with a stop for a game drive in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its famous tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi, home to the endangered mountain gorillas and an impressive variety of bird species, including the Blue-throated Broadbill and the bar-tailed Trogon.
Rise early for the highlight of your safari: gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on the location of your permits, you will be transferred to the trekking station. The trek, which lasts between 2 to 7 hours, is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on the planet. You’ll be led by an experienced ranger to encounter these majestic creatures up close.
Today, you’ll drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest but incredibly beautiful savannah park. The park is home to a large population of zebras, and you’ll spot plenty of wildlife even before entering. Enjoy a game drive as you make your way to your lodge.
Start your final day with an early morning nature walk and game drive in Lake Mburo. After breakfast, begin your journey back, crossing the equator en route to Kampala and then continue on to Entebbe, where you will catch your evening flight home.
