James Wanduse, our founder, carries Africa’s wilderness in his heart. His connection to the East African landscape runs deep, a bond forged during his childhood in Uganda. With over 20 years of experience as a safari guide, James has not only witnessed the magic of these lands but has also conquered some of its most iconic peaks, including Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya, Mount Elgon, the majestic Rwenzori Mountains (the “Mountains of the Moon”), Mount Meru, and Mount Muhabura. These ascents weren’t just about reaching summits; they were about immersing himself in the raw beauty and untamed spirit of Africa.
His passion ignited in the Ugandan wild where he spent his childhood, exploring every corner of Uganda and Rwanda, from the misty forests of Bwindi, home to endangered mountain gorillas, to the rolling hills of Rwanda, where vibrant communities thrive. These formative experiences instilled a deep respect for the delicate ecosystems, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural tapestries he encountered.
It was this profound love for East Africa that drove James to found Nature Exploration, a company dedicated to sharing these wonders with the world.
